Description: Provide small group instructional assistance to students with academic needs or behavioral changes.
Requirements: Two years of college, associate’s degree or passing score on a para-professional exam in reading, writing and math as required by federal law. Able to: (1) work with children in small groups and individually; (2) handle multiple tasks simultaneously; (3) adapt to a variety of student needs; (4) remain calm and positive; (5) work independently; (6) understand and follow oral and written directions and carry out complex tasks with minimal supervision; (7) maintain confidentiality; (8) develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Medic first aid card. Employment contingent upon fingerprinting.
Qualifications Desired: Good communication skills. Experience working with elementary school age student.
Classification/Location: Classified, Full-Time at Antonia Crater Elementary
Calendar/Benefits: 7 hours per day, 185 days per year.
$15.97 - $17.72 per hour (Range 7of the 2021-22 Classified Salary Schedule), current staff consult the contract.
