Description:  Under the supervision and direction of the summer school administration and summer school coordinator assist summer school staff in providing culturally appropriate learning experiences for students; create meaningful relationships; facilitate skill acquisition in academics, social, self-help and motor areas; maintain educational records; provide liaison services with parents; provide for personal needs of children; supervise students as needed.

 

Requirements:  Two years of college, associate’s degree or passing score on a para-professional exam in reading, writing and math as required by federal law. Ability to work with a diverse population of students and parents; ability to maintain accurate records; commitment to attend all staff training and in-service meetings and fulfill all dates of employment.

 

Qualifications Desired:       Computer skills, language arts, and math skills

 

Classification/Location:      Classified, Temporary, Full-time positions at Newberg High School

 

Workdays:  June 21 July 2, 2021.  8 hours per day (8:00 – 4:30, with ½ hour lunch break) + 2 days additional time for training (Actual working hours may vary, schedule to be TBD at a later date).

 

Wage:  $14.84 – $16.46 per hour (Range 7 of the 2020-21 Classified Salary Schedule), current staff consult the contract.
